
UPCOMING PASTORAL CANDIDATE VISIT

On Sunday, August 24, we will welcome our first pastoral candidate, Walter Scott Stepanenko to the pulpit.
​
Walter (also goes by "Scott") comes to us from Manchester, PA, where he currently works as an assistant professor and scholar in philosophy and ministry. He earned his PhD in Philosophy from the University of Cincinnati in 2019, following a Master of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Toledo in 2014. His journey in philosophy began with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Emmanuel College in 2011, where he was recognized as the Outstanding Student in Philosophy. Currently, Scott is expanding his academic portfolio by pursuing a Master of Arts in Ministry at Lancaster Bible College, expected to be completed in 2026.
In this role as assistant professor, he educates students on philosophical and religious topics, conducts academic research and contributes to the academic environment of the college.

Scott is dedicate to making a pivot in his career to full-time ministry. He is passionate about teaching and leading by doing alongside others, leading by example, and inspiring people to reach their fullest potential.
Walter, along with his wife Megan and their son, Isaac, embrace a life centered on faith, service and family.
Walter is passionate about working with a team to revitalize churches and help people grow in their faith. He enjoys outdoor activities, going on family walks, and is a dedicated fan of hockey and football.
